Software Engineer looking to develop impactful applications to take on difficult challenges.
Hi, I’m Adam! I’m a Full-Stack Software Engineer certified in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Amazon Web Services. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Business Administration minor and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I currently work at CVS Health working with frontend and cloud development. I’ve also worked at Publicis Sapient where I developed Salesforce Commerce Cloud cartridges and developed commerce tools integrations for major US retailers. I’ve also worked at the University of South Carolina’s Research Computing creating researcher tools, video repositories, and a computer vision mosquito egg counting web and mobile platform. I want to continue learning and working hard to create impactful applications that can improve our society. Feel free to reach out!
Cloud Engineering
Worked with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, React.JS and NodeJS to create cartridges for major retail customer requirements. Developed a backend API (java spring boot) for an external inventory management cartridge integration. Used commerce APIs to develop tools (python/JavaScript) for cartridge and environment operations. Utilized GraphQL and React to develop a CommerceTools resource integration.
Communicating with staff members and collecting requirements, documenting development processes, creating and modernizing existing web content, developing various module and SLURM scripts for UofSC researchers. Bechmarking various models on NVIDIA graphics GPU clusters and analyzing server performance. Led streaming (m3u8) feature development, revamped API and corresponding databases, and migration to Amazon Web Services for a library tape to digital archive streaming platform using AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and Java Play. Led development for a React Web Platform and React Native App for a mosquito egg counting application that uses Java Spring Boot, OpenCV, YOLO models, and PostgreSQL.
Developed grocery pickup web application for an Intern Team Challenge using Java Spring Boot, ReactJS, Ionic Framework, MySQL, and the Google Cloud Platform. Team captain of an environmentally-focused Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project using Jekyll. Shadowed a pharmacy project conducting performance testing using Blazemeter with Kubernetes and using GCP's Big Query.
Assisting in teaching an Algorithmic Design I lab. Created daily presentations and examples for students to understand Java programming concepts.
Investigated SOX application matters with regards to financial, regulatory, security and audit requirements. Ensured that user accounts on company applications had valid permissions. Collaborated on a company vision project.
Led web development for a sustainable goals page and revamped Joomla! website. Curated briefing research on Yale and the City of New Haven sustainability efforts. Created a new chapter logo that encompasses the national chapter’s rebranding. Assisted in outreach efforts to UN Staff for a jUNe day event. I want to build applications that bring simplicity and purpose to the end user. I am on a mission to learn how to create impactful software. Software Engineering is a job that has endless possibilities and ways to benefit the world. As the world becomes more and more dependent on technology, I look around and think about how it is all possible. I want my code to have an impact in the hands of people all around the world. I am always learning new things, building on my knowledge to expand my capacity to build. I am currently learning more about Cloud services (AWS/GCP). My strength is my ability to learn and keep persevering when working on a project or task.
In my free time, I love to travel, ski, listen to music (love festivals!), grab sushi and ice cream, and trying new things!
Fridger.recipes is a recipe platform that allows for ingredients, goals, and pantry management by users. It also supports guests and administrator views. It uses Java Spring Boot, ReactJS, Ionic Framework, and the Google Cloud Platform's MySQL and Google App Engine. This project was my Senior Capstone Project where I was the project manager.
