Software Engineer looking to develop impactful applications to take on difficult challenges.
Hi, I’m Adam! I’m a Full-Stack Software Engineer with certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina. Currently, I work at CVS Health, where I contribute to full stack development and cloud engineering, building tools that streamline data management and governance, and integrating advanced data workflows. My work includes developing microservices, automating data processes, and optimizing platforms with technologies like Angular, Python, and Google Cloud. Previously, at Publicis Sapient, I specialized in Salesforce Commerce Cloud integrations, creating custom solutions for major retail clients. I also developed APIs and enhanced commerce tools that improved operational efficiency. At the University of South Carolina, I led the development of a computer vision platform for mosquito egg counting and contributed to various research computing projects, including a digital archive streaming platform. I’m always eager to learn and work on impactful applications that improve society. Let’s connect!
Contributed to the development of an internal data marketplace platform (Angular/Express), facilitating data stewards and owners in managing datasets per company metadata, access management, and governance standards, while seamlessly integrating with enterprise data workflows. Led the integration of an in-house Data Job Management platform (Angular/Python) into the internal data marketplace platform, contributing to significant cost savings for the organization through enhanced efficiency and functionality. Created and enhanced features for interfacing with Datahub, enabling real-time bulk data updates and improving data management efficiency. Utilized CI/CD tools such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, CircleCI, Harness, and Argo CD for streamlined development and deployment processes. Developed and implemented microservices using Google Cloud Functions and Cloud Composer, automating data processing tasks from remote sources and ingesting data into Elasticsearch and MongoDB for enhanced search and user analysis capabilities.
Worked with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, React.JS and NodeJS to create cartridges for major retail customer requirements. Developed a backend API (java spring boot) for an external inventory management cartridge integration. Used commerce APIs to develop tools (python/JavaScript) for cartridge and environment operations. Utilized GraphQL and React to develop a CommerceTools resource integration.
Communicating with staff members and collecting requirements, documenting development processes, creating and modernizing existing web content, developing various module and SLURM scripts for UofSC researchers. Bechmarking various models on NVIDIA graphics GPU clusters and analyzing server performance. Led streaming (m3u8) feature development, revamped API and corresponding databases, and migration to Amazon Web Services for a library tape to digital archive streaming platform using AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and Java Play. Led development for a React Web Platform and React Native App for a mosquito egg counting application that uses Java Spring Boot, OpenCV, YOLO models, and PostgreSQL.
Developed grocery pickup web application for an Intern Team Challenge using Java Spring Boot, ReactJS, Ionic Framework, MySQL, and the Google Cloud Platform. Team captain of an environmentally-focused Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project using Jekyll. Shadowed a pharmacy project conducting performance testing using Blazemeter with Kubernetes and using GCP's Big Query.
Assisting in teaching an Algorithmic Design I lab. Created daily presentations and examples for students to understand Java programming concepts.
Investigated SOX application matters with regards to financial, regulatory, security and audit requirements. Ensured that user accounts on company applications had valid permissions. Collaborated on a company vision project.
Led web development for a sustainable goals page and revamped Joomla! website. Curated briefing research on Yale and the City of New Haven sustainability efforts. Created a new chapter logo that encompasses the national chapter’s rebranding. Assisted in outreach efforts to UN Staff for a jUNe day event. Awarded United Nations Association Scholarship for my efforts.

My greatest strength is my ability to persevere and continuously grow while tackling new challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, skiing, attending music festivals, and indulging in sushi and ice cream. Always looking to explore!
Fridger.recipes is a recipe platform that allows for ingredients, goals, and pantry management by users. It supports guest and administrator views and is built with Java Spring Boot, ReactJS, Ionic Framework, MySQL, and Google App Engine. This was my Senior Capstone Project, where I served as the project manager.
Led streaming (m3u8) feature development, revamped the API, and migrated the system to AWS for a library tape-to-digital archive streaming platform using AngularJS, PostgreSQL, and Java Play.
